📋 Description

• Support the development of one of the first multinational drone early-warning systems to help secure the European Union. • Successfully commission complex products on customer sites; deployments may require travel of up to 6 weeks. • Validate, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software in operational deployment environments under live and unpredictable field conditions. • Understand complex customer requirements and engage in technical pre-sales activities. • Develop smaller, bespoke system adaptations for customer-specific ecosystems. • Monitor systems, resolve incidents, and continuously improve observability. • Collaborate with a 35-person team of sensor, IoT, and hardware engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• Citizenship of an EU member state is required. • Officially registered/resident in an EU country. • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT; ideally 10–20 years. • At least 4 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Deployment Architect in the IoT space. • Experience with embedded Linux across different architectures. • Deep knowledge of low-level Linux networking configuration (routing, iptables, socket programming). • Expert in debugging and troubleshooting. • HIL/SIL experience (Hardware-in-the-Loop / Software-in-the-Loop). • Strong skills in C/C++, Rust, Go, Python, or TypeScript. • Fluent in English; additional spoken languages are a plus. • Interest in working in the defense sector. • Experience in a dynamic startup or scaleup environment. • Willingness to travel 50% within the EU, particularly to NATO’s eastern borders. • Applications should include a current CV and links to LinkedIn and GitHub profiles. • Nice to have: experience with sensor/tracking standards, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, Docker, K3s/Kubernetes, RTOS, TCP/IP, UDP, Wireshark, TShark, Scapy, disassemblers/decompilers, RF, SDRs, and GNU Radio.
