📋 Description
• Analyze complex legal factual issues while conducting extensive and well-reasoned legal research. • Independently develop and aggressively present defense strategies on behalf of clients for auto and general liability cases from inception through trial. • Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies. • Provide effective and timely information, legal advice, and other services. • Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel with professional diplomacy and discretion. • Participate in claims file reviews. • Independently conduct trials, depositions, arbitration, and mediations. • Attend continuing legal education seminars in order to maintain a high level of professional expertise.
🎯 Requirements
• Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice in the State of Florida is required. • Minimum 7 years of experience handling bodily injury claims with proven trial expertise. • First chair jury trial experience is preferred, but not required. • Legal research and motion practice expertise. • Positive-minded and collaborative team-player attitude. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Solid MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook); Lexis Nexis experience is a plus! • Self-directed aptitude with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
