📋 Description

• Build a new TypeScript system to replace the existing PHP system • Maintain and support the current PHP system during the transition • Own features from requirements through production, including decomposition, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and support • Break feature requests into tasks, estimate work, and deliver independently • Write clean, tested, production-ready code • Make technical decisions and explain trade-offs • Monitor production features using logs, metrics, and alerts • Refactor, document, and reduce technical debt • Investigate dev-escalations and participate in incident response • Write runbooks and maintain documentation • Participate in a shared on-call rotation • Write unit and integration tests • Participate actively in code reviews • Work with Product, Design, QA, and engineering teams • Contribute to sprint planning and technical discussions • Mentor L1/L2 engineers at L3+ • Lead domain incident response and set AI tool standards at L4

🎯 Requirements

• Active, hands-on TypeScript experience • Past professional experience with PHP • Hands-on experience integrating Stripe and PayPal is required • Experience with TypeScript/Node.js • Experience with PHP 7.4/8+ and Laravel • Experience with MariaDB and Redis • Experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, SQS, and S3 • Experience with Docker • Experience with GitHub Actions CI/CD • Ability to use AI coding tools daily for code generation, debugging, test writing, codebase exploration, and code review acceleration • Ability to understand and evaluate AI-generated output • Ability to write unit and integration tests • Ability to participate in code reviews • Ability to respond to incidents and dev-escalations • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation after ramp-up
