Ting Labs is a safety-focused company that sells a plug-in electrical sensor plus a subscription service that detects early signs of electrical hazards (micro-arcing) and alerts homeowners and a 24×7 Fire Safety Team to prevent electrical fires. The Ting Sensor is a DIY, plug-in device paired with a mobile app and a monitoring subscription that provides real-time alerts, outage and frozen-pipe notifications, lifetime sensor replacement, a $1,000 remediation credit for electrician visits when needed, and guided support to resolve hazards. Ting emphasizes consumer home protection (claims: 1,000,000+ families trust Ting, 30,000+ potentially devastating fires identified/prevented, and prevention of ~4 out of 5 electrical fires) and also offers grid intelligence and enterprise solutions for utilities and first responders to detect grid faults and outage information. The product is hardware-centric but delivered as an ongoing service combining device, cloud analytics, and expert human response.
