📋 Description

• Architect and own pytest-based automation framework and drive its evolution • Develop robust and reusable Python libraries and pytest fixtures for APIs, CLIs, and workload orchestration • Design automation as a self-service platform enabling engineers to write and run tests easily • Create documentation, examples, and onboarding to drive framework adoption across engineering • Research and implement AI/ML-driven testing strategies to generate realistic, adaptive workloads • Lead code reviews for automation contributions to ensure quality and maintainability • Architect automation to validate clustering, failover, and horizontal scaling behaviors • Implement chaos engineering practices to discover systemic weaknesses • Integrate performance and stress testing (fio, IOR, Minio Warp, MLPerf) into CI/CD pipelines • Design automation to run efficiently across Kubernetes, Docker, hypervisors, and bare-metal • Integrate test results with observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK) for telemetry-driven quality • Mentor QE and development engineers worldwide on Python, pytest, and automation design patterns

🎯 Requirements

• Expert-Level Python: Deep, hands-on mastery of Python, including pytest (fixtures, plugins, parametrization) and asyncio • Experience building scalable automation frameworks and reusable Python libraries • Strong understanding of distributed systems: clustering, fault tolerance, horizontal scaling • Experience with machine orchestration (highly desirable) • Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL) • Strong understanding of storage protocols: S3/Object, NVMe/iSCSI, NFS/SMB • Proven ability to integrate performance tools (fio, IOR, Minio Warp) and orchestrate tests within Docker and Kubernetes • CI/CD experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions • Observability experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack • Experience applying data science or ML techniques to testing; familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn preferred • Proficiency in Bash scripting • Bonus: Experience with Go or C++ • Leadership skills: mentoring, code reviews, strong communication, strategic thinking, builder's mindset
