📋 Description

• Research and resolve payroll tax notices and customer or internal-stakeholder issues, providing root cause analysis and recommendations • Support customers with tax-related questions via inbound phone, email, and chat • Partner with internal operations teams and tax agencies to obtain accurate payroll tax account information • Help customers identify and update payroll tax jurisdiction account information • Review and reconcile payroll tax liability debits and credits against customer bank accounts • Recommend process improvements to reduce recurring tax issues and improve filing efficiency • Support customers through Third-Party Agent setup • Guide customers through Power of Attorney documentation and submit forms to tax agencies • Correspond with tax agencies regarding payroll tax discrepancies, inquiries, penalty abatements or waivers, and tax clearances • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and special projects

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a role responsible for customer satisfaction and championing the customer experience • 1+ years of prior payroll service bureau experience • Knowledge of federal, state, local, and paid family leave payroll taxes • Ability to operate independently and navigate competing priorities in a changing environment • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with ability to manage high customer-case volume • Experience working with sensitive or confidential information • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
