📋 Description

• Lead a high-velocity Engineering team developing advanced data and AI tools • Work with Engineers, Designers, Product Managers, Architects, and the Executive team to deliver high-quality products • Set goals for the team and individual team members • Understand and communicate the team’s mission and objectives • Motivate the team and create a productive, enjoyable work environment • Communicate proactively with stakeholders and the Product Manager’s team • Establish feedback loops and provide immediate feedback • Participate in performance reviews • Facilitate technical discussions and frequent code reviews to maintain code quality • Resolve technical and interpersonal discussions when necessary • Ensure the team’s overall output quality • Mentor team members and support personal and career growth • Escalate systemic challenges and blockers to the manager • Lead the team’s recruiting and hiring process • Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and communicate mitigation plans • Apply system-analysis techniques and consult users to determine functional specifications • Complete onboarding and push code to production during the first month • Lead the team from planning through delivery • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with teammates • Build understanding of the team’s mission, constraints, and capabilities • Develop cross-functional relationships and contribute engineering-wide improvements • Lead delivery of at least one major product-wide feature within the first year • Define yearly goals and objectives for the team

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with back-end, front-end technologies, and databases • Solid grasp of object-oriented programming, PostgreSQL/Supabase databases, clean code, development, and automated testing methodologies • 2+ years of previous experience leading an Engineering team • Track record of delivering successful products as an engineer and engineering manager • Experience managing small teams with high autonomy and low process overhead • Ability to balance implementation time against performance, failure tolerance, security, and long-term maintenance • Ability to evaluate technical architecture trade-offs in real time during design discussions • Strong code review skills and ability to explain code-quality decisions • Active, demonstrated experience as an AI-first engineer • Experience using AI development tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor • Genuine curiosity about LLMs and AI-assisted engineering • Strong communication skills, including clear writing, direct feedback, and effective facilitation • World-class individual contributor capabilities • Experience with data labeling, video/audio media processing, or PDF manipulation is a plus • Familiarity with LangGraph or LangChain is a plus • Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, and caching and queueing technologies is a plus • Familiarity with NextJS, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and GraphQL is a plus • Experience designing and building AI Agents, MCP servers, and data classification components for training LLMs is a plus • Experience with cloud-native infrastructure on GCP or AWS is a plus • No visa sponsorship or assistance is offered • Resumes and communication must be submitted in English
