📋 Description

• Drive innovation by expanding Toptal’s product and service offerings across web, mobile, and desktop applications. • Own and lead all aspects of an established agile team, including backlog grooming, triage, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination. • Define the scope of new product features and write and prioritize user stories with clear acceptance criteria. • Break down complex problems and use data, analytics, and high-quality user research to inform product direction. • Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and communicate contingency and mitigation plans. • Run ad-hoc research and business analyses to assess opportunities and risks. • Apply system-analyst techniques and consult with users to determine functional specifications. • Expected milestones: onboarding and product familiarization (week 1), organizing roadmap and taking over in-flight initiatives (month 1), supporting a product category and launching impactful features (3 months), driving end-to-end mobile/desktop delivery and developing repeatable delivery models (6 months), and delivering roadmap priorities and scaling the team (year 1).

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline. • 5+ years of proven software product management experience. • Proven ability to lead products end-to-end from early discovery and zero-to-one development through launch, iteration, and scale, even in ambiguous environments. • Knowledge of AI product development processes. • Experience with third-party system integrations is a plus. • Comfortable working with SQL or spreadsheets to analyze data, as well as conducting research with internal and external users. • Strong expertise in using data to make decisions with a variety of tools and methodologies to gather and synthesize information. • Ability to creatively craft solutions through data and a customer-centric approach. • Ability to build wireframes and mockups, with an aptitude for keeping things simple. • Be meticulous and have a high bar for quality when writing user stories, reviewing designs, brainstorming technical approaches, and testing a feature before it is released. • Be humble, willing to learn, and do whatever is needed to help us accomplish our goals. • Experience using agile development methodologies with globally distributed teams and the ability to keep up with a fast-paced and global company. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. • You thrive in environments where you are empowered to lead by doing, working directly with users, data, and your team to make progress and drive results. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and handle a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts. • You must be a world-class individual contributor to thrive at Toptal.
