📋 Description

• Shape Toptal’s product and platform vision and drive execution • Report to the CEO, sit on the executive team, and collaborate with Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, New Businesses, Professional Services, and Customer leaders • Own Toptal’s AI product strategy across the marketplace, talent and client experiences, internal systems, and go-to-market products • Decide AI build-versus-buy, tooling, packaging, and pricing • Define AI quality through evaluations, acceptance bars, and review loops • Partner with Engineering on the AI and product platform • Rebuild Product workflows using AI-assisted discovery, research, prototyping, and analysis • Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the full product portfolio • Establish the product operating model, metrics, planning cadence, and prioritization framework • Own integration of acquisitions and new products • Serve as senior voice of the customer for talent and clients • Define product team structures, resourcing, workforce planning, hiring standards, and headcount • Review product work directly, develop people, and raise organizational standards • Build relationships with executives and direct reports; learn platform architecture, marketplace dynamics, internal tooling, and AI initiatives • Assess Product organization maturity, people, roadmap, rituals, and gaps • Deliver an AI-enabled capability in production within the first three months • Demonstrate AI business impact across at least two core surfaces within six months • Build an advanced AI-native product organization and exceptional product team within the first year • Deliver roadmap priorities with a demonstrable link between product investment and business results

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems) • At least 15 years of proven software Product Management experience • At least 8 years of experience leading Product organizations, including leading other product leaders (managing managers) • Proven ability to raise the level of a product organization through hiring and development • Proven ownership of resourcing and workforce planning, with a quantifiable hiring track record • Experience owning an entire product portfolio at a high-growth technology company, with accountability for business outcomes • Demonstrated success setting executive-level product strategy and translating it into executable roadmaps across multiple teams and domains • Experience leading AI-enabled products with measurable business outcomes • Deep hands-on command of agentic architectures, harness and orchestration design, retrieval, context engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation, and production model economics; shipped these personally • Ability to teach AI and move an organization toward unrequested adoption • Growth marketing fluency, including acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention • Comfortable using SQL or spreadsheets for data analysis and conducting internal and external user research • Ability to craft solutions through data and a user-centric approach • High quality bar for user stories, technical approaches, and feature testing • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Experience with agile development methodologies and globally distributed teams • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and manage varied challenges, deadlines, and contacts • World-class individual contributor mindset • Master’s degree strongly preferred • Experience with marketplace, platform, or two-sided business models is a strong plus • Prior Software Engineer experience is a strong plus • Resumes and communication must be submitted in English
