• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Group Advisors team handling student/study travel • Train, mentor and guide direct reports while fostering a positive work environment • Communicate performance goals and provide guidance, coaching and support • Provide fair, constructive and timely performance feedback • Identify, analyze, implement and audit new technologies and processes for continual improvement • Monitor volume and make real-time workload adjustments • Monitor staffing and service-level channels including phone, email and queues • Communicate proactively with management when necessary • Identify service-level and advisor-productivity issues and develop process-improvement solutions with management • Manage overtime according to departmental guidelines • Support Group Advisors, Group Travel Managers and management with operational, application, process, procedure and policy questions • Answer questions regarding active programs and accounts • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly Agent Sales Productivity reports and support advisors in meeting or exceeding goals • Recognize top performers • Conduct regular one-to-one sessions and annual performance recaps with direct reports • Develop and monitor customized performance improvement plans for unsatisfactory performance • Assist with or lead customer-service issue resolution and escalate issues to the Director as needed • Participate in, provide and coordinate ongoing training and development • Keep abreast of industry developments • Complete new group travel requests from start to finish daily • Manage hiring, training, coaching, feedback, development and overall performance management for direct and/or indirect reports • Model CTM’s core values and promote employee engagement, growth plans and team culture • Process daily group requests for student/study-abroad travel • Perform other duties as assigned
• Requires five years’ experience in the travel industry • Experience with M&E Group, student & study abroad travel • Requires at least 5 years in a leadership position managing employees, including at least 3 years in a management position • Relevant experience beyond the required experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis • GDS experience is required — Sabre • Exceptional customer service skills; client-facing position • Embrace CTM’s core values of Connect, Evolve and Deliver • Professional, collaborative and supportive interaction with employees, clients, suppliers and vendors • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Appropriate and professional written and verbal communication • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests • Creative and analytical thinking with strong problem-solving and consultative skills • Demonstrates calm under pressure, proactive contribution and eagerness to learn • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to do basic math • Ability to read and interpret information • Attention to detail • Regular and reliable attendance • Ability to work evening hours, weekends, and longer hours during high-volume periods • Ability to assist in a crisis or work outage during or outside regular business hours
