📋 Description

• Own the complete user journey and define the strategic UX vision and long-term design architecture for Twilio’s core communications platforms and primitives • Partner with design, product, and engineering leaders across Messaging, Voice, and Email to build unified, channel-agnostic configuration and observability experiences in One Console • Translate telecom abstractions and technical infrastructure primitives, including APIs, SDK integrations, distributed data layers, and real-time streaming architectures, into developer-friendly mental models • Partner with Product Directors, Engineering VPs, and Architects to build shared roadmaps, negotiate technical constraints, and ensure high-fidelity design execution • Participate in and scale the UX Design Feedback Process • Mentor junior designers, build reusable design frameworks, and drive structural change within the UX organization • Architect design frameworks for high-density data visualizations, live charts, centralized logs, and real-time diagnostic dashboards tracking performance and deliverability metrics • Occasionally travel for project, customer, partner, or team in-person meetings

🎯 Requirements

• Full-time, US-based, remote • 8+ years of professional product design experience focused on highly technical software products, developer tools, infrastructure, or complex B2B/SaaS platforms • World-class portfolio demonstrating structural design, cross-product workflow mapping, complex data architectures, and unified platform experiences • Proven experience partnering directly with Director/VP-level engineering and product leaders to align cross-product touchpoints and shape multi-year roadmaps • Ability to work independently in complex, loosely defined technical spaces and build clear frameworks from abstract constraints • Curiosity about AI-powered tools and workflows and thoughtful use of emerging technologies to improve design speed, quality, and impact • Desired: experience designing interfaces for APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and configuration consoles • Desired: expertise designing high-density monitoring systems, analytical reporting dashboards, or live diagnostic charts • Desired: familiarity with real-time streaming architectures, SIP, WebRTC, telephony systems, email delivery infrastructure, or transactional communication protocols
