📋 Description

• Develop compelling case themes for landlord-tenant defense matters • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials • Manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial • Work as part of a team across experience levels • Communicate routinely with clients • Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys • Take ownership of multi-party, high-value litigation involving habitability, wrongful eviction, mold exposure, tenant injury, and premises liability claims

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an ABA-approved school • Must be licensed in the State of California; an active California bar license is required • 8+ years of litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred • Experience with time management systems • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills • Professional appearance and demeanor • Substantial experience defending property owners, insurers, and housing providers in landlord-tenant cases • Understanding of habitability, mold exposure, wrongful eviction, tenant injury, and related claims • Trial experience and ability to handle complex, high-exposure litigation • Ability to mentor junior attorneys
