📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of Clinical Research Project Managers supporting clinical studies and observational research programs • Manage hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, career development, succession planning, and performance improvement or disciplinary actions • Set and monitor KPIs including on-time milestones, budget adherence, quality, client satisfaction/NPS, revenue delivery, utilization, and retention • Develop resource allocation strategies matching project manager capacity and skills to portfolio demand • Maintain utilization targets while balancing billability with training, mentorship, and business development support • Own contingency planning for leave coverage, attrition, portfolio surges, and concentration risk • Drive SOP, RACI, governance framework, QMS, and process discipline across the project management team • Participate in Project Review processes to identify risks, coach project managers, reinforce standards, and drive corrective actions • Ensure accurate Planisware milestone, baseline, and financial forecast updates • Champion inspection readiness and portfolio health tracking • Partner with Quality Assurance on CAPA execution, audit responses, and SOP improvement • Represent UBC in governance meetings, business reviews, and escalation calls as needed • Ensure executive-ready client and internal leadership communications and status reporting • Collaborate with Data Management, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Medical Writing, Regulatory, Site Management, HR, Finance, and Segment leadership on resourcing, quality, delivery, organization design, compensation planning, and capacity forecasting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, health science, or related field required • Minimum 10 years of clinical project management experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech setting • At least 5 years of direct people management experience • Track record leading teams delivering full-service clinical trials and/or PASS, registries, and RWE programs • Ability to lead teams accountable for revenue delivery, margin management, and change order execution • Expertise in project management methodology, resource planning, risk management, and contingency planning • Strong command of Planisware, CTMS, financial forecasting tools, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Copilot • Experience with regulatory inspection readiness involving FDA, EMA, and Health Canada • Knowledge of GCP/ICH standards • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills • Ability to synthesize complex issues into clear decisions and recommendations • Ability to hold teams accountable to KPIs while developing talent and sustaining engagement • Comfort operating in a matrixed, global environment across US and European teams • PMP or equivalent certification preferred • Typically 10 to 15 direct reports, including Senior PMs and PMs
