📋 Description

• The WC Paralegal will be responsible for maintaining client files (electronic/paper) including employment records, claim file records, medical bills and numerous medical records • Prepare discovery requests and responses, and other pleadings; file/e-file pleadings with courts and/or serve on appropriate parties • Schedule events (hearings, depositions, medical evaluations, attorney conferences, client meetings, court reporters, interpreters) • Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and trial/hearing materials; draft pre-trial memos and mediation materials • Provide substantive administrative support to attorneys and maintain an accurate calendar by docketing deadlines • Communicate clearly with attorneys and staff; maintain high-quality work and reliability • Maintain compliance with deadlines and firm standards; regular attendance

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of workers' compensation experience in Rhode Island • Preferred: Knowledge of Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation Law, Court Procedures, electronic filing system and DMS system • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Excellent oral and written communications skills • Ability to prioritize while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Regular and reliable attendance
