• Manage the financial and accounting activities relating to the company’s managed property portfolio • Maintain accurate accounting records for all managed properties and correctly record transactions in the accounting system • Manage service charge accounting, including preparation, recording, and reconciliation of service charge transactions • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review • Process supplier invoices, verify supporting documentation, obtain approvals, and code invoices to the relevant property and cost category • Prepare and process supplier payment runs according to approved company procedures • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve outstanding or unreconciled items • Reconcile supplier, general ledger, service charge, and other relevant balance sheet accounts • Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, journals, and other month-end accounting adjustments • Assist with annual service charge budgets for each managed property • Monitor property expenditure against approved budgets and prepare variance analysis and explanations • Assist with year-end service charge reconciliations, financial schedules, and supporting documentation • Maintain organised financial records and provide documentation to external accountants, auditors, and professional advisers • Support management with cash-flow monitoring, financial analysis, ad hoc reporting, and improvements to accounting processes and internal controls • Work closely with property managers and suppliers
• Degree, diploma, or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification, or progress toward a professional qualification, is an advantage • Previous accounting experience, preferably within property management, real estate, facilities management, construction, or a related sector • Experience managing accounts across multiple properties or cost centres is an advantage • Strong Microsoft Excel skills • Experience with accounting or property management software is desirable • Strong numerical and analytical skills • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls • Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple properties, accounts, and reporting deadlines • Strong organisational and time-management skills • Good written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work closely with property managers and suppliers • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality • Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm UK (4 hours) • Own computer or laptop • ADSL/FIBRE internet line • Headphones for use with the company VOIP phone system • Anti-virus installed • UPS/Back-up Battery for load shedding (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
