📋 Description

• This position is an individual contributor responsible for structural analysis and design of products to be quoted and fabricated by the Valmont Utility Division, Steel Group, primarily of Utility transmission and distribution structures. • Included in this is the full design responsibility for processing specific quotes and orders, general design engineering support for drafting and sales. • The incumbent works on the Engineering Team who has responsibility for the design of product for quotation requests and orders. • In addition, the incumbent plans, and monitors workflow of design activities to meet milestone dates for projects assigned. • The Design Engineer will consult with senior engineers on the team to ensure that customer specifications are met, and designs are feasible and efficient for manufacturing.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering with 2 to 5+ years preferred relevant experience • Technical competence in Structural Engineering • Engineer-in-Training Certification • Working knowledge of 3D computer-aided design and Experience with Auto CAD • Strong communication skills • Strong teamwork skills • Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
