• Administer state- and federally funded housing programs and services • Manage housing initiatives, activities, programs, and funding as assigned • Maintain waitlists for identified housing and residential programs • Determine member eligibility based on housing program criteria and regulations • Process housing assistance requests and grant applications • Maintain accurate housing budget records and required reports • Administer Vaya’s Transitions to Community Living Voucher Program • Calculate subsidies and payments, negotiate Housing Assistance Payment agreements, complete income recertifications, and conduct inspections • Collect and enter data into NCHFA’s CLIVe system and Vaya’s medical record system • Act as liaison to Socialserve and NCHFA • Market subsidy programs to landlords and property management agencies • Track private-market and residential housing stock • Submit housing referrals and applications for TCL members • Maintain housing and residential resources, vacancy reports, housing flows, navigation tools, and resource guides • Identify strategies to address housing deficits and access public and private funding • Support landlord recruitment, outreach, housing development, and training initiatives • Provide housing-resource education and consultation to service providers, stakeholders, members, and families • Collaborate on discharge planning from hospitals, recovery facilities, and correctional systems • Maintain relationships with public housing authorities and HUD Section 8/Housing Choice Voucher agencies • Participate in housing committees, staff meetings, trainings, and critical case staffing calls • Support emergency respite resource management and other Housing Team coverage • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s Degree required • Five years of service experience required • Residence in North Carolina or within 40 miles of the North Carolina border • Ability to travel • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and program requirements applicable to Vaya Health’s North Carolina operations • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality • Experience leading performance relationships with external stakeholders • Proficiency analyzing, understanding, and communicating network needs • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Exceptional business acumen • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • High level of knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn software applications; expert level preferred • Knowledge of assessment and treatment of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder is helpful • Ability to problem solve and provide practical, thorough, and creative solutions • Strong customer service skills and positive demeanor
