📋 Description

• Work as part of a team of mechanical engineers or mechanical fitters across a range of sites • Carry out complex and detailed asset overhauls and replacements • Undertake mechanical repairs and modifications to dewatering equipment, pumps, pipework, valves and ancillary equipment • Carry out inspections, services and repairs to customers’ dewatering assets and machines • Install pipework using plastic, stainless steel and mild steel materials • Undertake standby cover and overtime as required, with flexibility to work away from home • Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents • Complete permits to work and safety paperwork • Work alongside on-site customer teams • Liaise with customers on site as the first point of contact • Lead maintenance and repair of dewatering equipment and ancillaries at sewage and clean water treatment facilities • Ensure energy-efficient operation of assets and minimise downtime and pollution risks • Reduce raw material usage through thorough service and maintenance tasks and first-time fixes

🎯 Requirements

• NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 3 • Full UK Driving License • Hands-on engineering maintenance experience • Compex Trained (desirable) • Confined Space Trained (desirable) • First Aid Trained (desirable) • Clean Water Qualification (desirable) • SHEA Water Qualification (desirable) • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable) • DSEAR Awareness (desirable) • PASMA Trained (desirable)
