📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process engineers, graduate engineers, and designers • Lead the process design discipline in multi-disciplinary teams • Manage technical inputs from specialist suppliers and subcontractors • Plan workload across project lifecycles from bidding to execution • Manage multiple complex projects ranging from £20k to £50m+ • Provide expert design leadership supporting business wins • Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences • Draft technical proposals and reports and present at technical reviews and client executive meetings • Establish and own technical relationships with customers during bidding phases • Act as key interface between internal teams and external clients • Deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and lead technical workshops and negotiations • Represent Veolia at industry events • Embed sustainability principles into process designs • Optimise energy use, chemical usage, and resource recovery • Quantify environmental benefits in alignment with Veolia’s Depollution, Decarbonising, and Water Stewardship goals

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in a relevant technical subject, such as Chemical Engineering or similar disciplines • Experience designing water and wastewater treatment plants across conceptual design, FEED, and detailed engineering stages • Proven experience developing technical solutions for commercial bids • Strong understanding of the commercial implications of design decisions • Experience applying value engineering and design optimisation principles • Organised and consistently meets project deadlines • Full UK driving licence • Ability to travel across the UK, sometimes at short notice
