📋 Description
• An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SQL DBA to join the Chevin team. • Responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company’s SQL databases. • Work closely with Engineering, Support and Professional Services to design, implement, and maintain robust data solutions that meet our business and customer requirements.
🎯 Requirements
• Proven 5 years of experience as a DBA, with Azure cloud-based database services. • Knowledge of the design, configuration and maintenance of Azure Services. • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent. • Familiarisation in building distributed, scalable & authenticated systems. • Proficient in Azure best practices and experienced with Azure-native monitoring tools. • Shell scripting experience using shell interpreters like PowerShell and Bash. • Familiarisation with Azure SQL Server maintenance and configuration. • Expertise in SQL execution plans, indexing, and query tuning to optimize performance in high-transaction environments. • Comfortable working in active Azure production environments. • Oracle and Oracle Cloud experience. • Automation experience and practical application of AI. • Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Grafana, or Azure-native dashboards for real-time database performance monitoring.
