📋 Description
• Monitor and optimize database performance and storage • Apply patches and upgrades in test and production environments • Manage backup and recovery procedures • Ensure user access control in compliance with security policies • Support system integration and data migrations • Ensure compliance with DoD/Federal cybersecurity requirements, including NIST, RMF, and DISA STIGs • Oversee incident response, risk management, and business continuity planning • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Oracle Database technologies • Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate Oracle databases with various front-end technologies • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database triggers to support backend applications • Perform database tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high performance and availability • Ensure database security, backups, and data integrity in compliance with best practices and security protocols • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers • Work closely with system architects to design and implement scalable database solutions • Provide technical support for database-related issues and system upgrades • Document database designs, processes, and configurations
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field • 3–5 years of experience as a database administrator • Proficient with enterprise RDBMS systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) • U.S. Citizenship • Active or interim DoD Secret Clearance
