📋 Description

• Spearhead development of frontend and backend test automation infrastructure • Work with engineering teams to identify test needs early and highlight design issues that increase test difficulty • Design, implement, and maintain automation infrastructure and other test tools • Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites • Manually test areas not covered by automation • Identify and triage system regressions • Perform usability and exploratory testing; find edge cases and recommend new tests • Be embedded within agile teams to test new features and improve code testability and reliability • Provide occasional travel and off-hours support as required

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years' professional experience in Software Engineering, including developing test automation • Work Experience 5+ years (job header) • Strong core backend development skills in Python • Comfortable in JavaScript and frontend automation • Completed CS, EE, or similar bachelor's degree • Media & Entertainment industry experience required; in-the-weeds experience with codecs, container formats, metadata formats, and regional differences • Experience with pytest, locust, Cucumber, Cypress, Robot Framework • Experience with single-page web applications, complex microservice-based systems, cloud-resident systems, and relational databases • Experience with AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53, RDS) • Experience with Docker, Nginx, PostgreSQL • General database and API protocol knowledge; ability to test and mock service communication • Candidates must live in the US
