📋 Description

• Support field and sealant operations by reducing environmental, health, and safety risks at construction sites • Implement and oversee safety programs and procedures for regulatory compliance • Identify, implement, and maintain field safety processes to prevent injuries • Build and reinforce a strong safety culture and hold employees accountable • Conduct Job Safety Analyses, site inspections, and audits • Deliver OSHA compliance and new-hire safety training and maintain accurate records • Rectify unsafe acts and recognize safe behaviors • Set and track safety goals to protect employees and minimize company liability • Manage workers’ compensation cases and support injured employees’ return to work • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions • Evaluate and recommend improvements for PPE and safety equipment • Collaborate with leadership, safety committees, and project teams to integrate and monitor safety • Analyze trends using tools, techniques, and data collection methods and make corrective-action recommendations • Travel frequently, most often to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, with travel to other states as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Five (5) years of experience in construction safety, including environmental compliance and reporting • Bachelor’s degree in safety management, construction management, industrial hygiene, or a related program preferred • Bilingual Spanish-English capabilities preferred • CHST certification preferred • OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction certifications preferred • Knowledge of fall protection systems, rigging, and crane operations preferred • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle required • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility vest, and hard hat • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments • Ability to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas • Ability to work around moving equipment, machinery, noise, dust, vibration, and outdoor weather conditions • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
