⢠Advise on and support campaign development through campaign narratives and communications plans ⢠Work with campaigners and the social media manager to oversee or produce complementary content, including reactive posts, video, and campaign assets ⢠Liaise with media contacts and external agencies to amplify campaigns across European and national media ⢠Build partnerships with influencers, creators, and independent activists ⢠Strengthen campaignersâ storytelling skills and identify compelling storytelling opportunities ⢠Build and sustain journalist contacts ⢠Produce press releases and briefings ⢠Maintain an accurate and current media database across priority countries ⢠Oversee and refresh the social media presence ⢠Line manage and coach a social media manager ⢠Monitor the news cycle and social media performance to identify campaign opportunities ⢠Define communications success measures, including social media KPIs, and oversee activity to meet them ⢠Advise senior leadership on communications and reputational considerations, including crisis communications ⢠Ensure consistency of messaging and tone across public communications ⢠Perform activities outside the normal role from time to time as part of a collaborative team culture
⢠Fluent in English ⢠Five years of relevant experience ⢠Ability to translate complex policy or campaign issues into compelling stories for different audiences ⢠Ability to generate creative news angles from unlikely material or challenging subject matter ⢠Ability to write inspiring, clear, and impactful copy in English ⢠Experience in media relations, influencer partnerships, or content creation ⢠Experience engaging new audiences through communications channels ⢠Ability to use audience insights to influence communications approach ⢠Data-driven and results-oriented approach ⢠Willingness to test, learn, and continuously improve content and communications ⢠Ability to design and deliver practical training ⢠Commitment to systemic change in Europe and alignment with solidarity, sustainability, justice, and democracy ⢠Willingness to travel within Europe when needed, at least 3 times a year ⢠Applications must be submitted in English ⢠Applicants must be based in countries where WeMove Europe operates ⢠Nice to have: familiarity with digital-first campaigns, recent video storytelling experience, line management experience, knowledge of the Brussels press landscape and national media, and other European languages
