📋 Description

• Lead the launch and strategic development of Advanced Fabrication from scientific and publishing perspectives • Shape the journal’s scientific direction, identity, and growth • Build the journal’s profile within the global research community • Attract high-quality authors and content • Identify emerging and interdisciplinary growth areas and opportunities • Leverage scientific expertise, research trends, networks, and desk research to drive content acquisition and submission growth • Establish and maintain networks of scientists, authors, peer reviewers, editorial board members, and community stakeholders • Represent Wiley and the journal at conferences and through in-person and virtual outreach at universities, research institutes, and scientific communities • Contribute to editorial evaluation, peer review, and decision-making for submitted manuscripts • Develop commissioning strategies and build journal visibility • Collaborate with managers and colleagues to establish a culture of trust, respect, collaboration, and high performance

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in Materials Science/Technology/Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Nanotechnology & Nanoengineering, Surface Science & Engineering, or Polymer Science/Technology/Engineering • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Flexible and innovative approach to problem-solving • Ability to work collaboratively and achieve results through personal influence and engagement • Self-motivated, diplomatic, and flexible approach • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills • Excellent command of written and verbal English • Strong understanding of scientific publishing, including commissioning and peer review • Prior publishing-industry experience highly desired • Keen interest in science communication • Desire to advocate for innovations in publishing and open research • Confidence representing the journal at conferences and institute visits • Ability to nurture existing contacts and develop new networks • Willingness to travel • Resume/CV required with application
