• Define, evolve, and communicate the business value of Scholar Gateway • Own and drive specific areas of the Scholar Gateway roadmap from problem definition through delivery and iteration • Define content ingestion and lifecycle management capabilities supporting AI-driven scholarly content discovery • Define end-to-end workflows for onboarding publishing partners • Engage colleagues and stakeholders to align product development with customer needs • Partner with engineering to shape evolving platform capabilities • Use customer feedback, usage signals, partner needs, metrics, market and competitor knowledge, and user research to inform prioritization • Contribute to demos, release notes, and customer-facing documentation • Partner with support and operational teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve customer-impacting issues • Maintain advanced knowledge of Scholar Gateway and its infrastructure • Lead publisher pilot onboarding and production efforts, monitor results, and make recommendations • Act as Scholar Gateway lead in cross-department projects, knowledge sharing, and customer experience improvement efforts • Present Scholar Gateway in internal and external customer meetings
• Experience in the scholarly publishing industry • Extensive product development experience • Demonstrated ability to own and deliver discrete areas of a product roadmap from discovery through execution • Ability to lead without direct authority • Strong product judgment and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including using data to inform prioritization and tradeoffs • Experience with technically complex, platform-oriented products such as APIs, services, and integrations • Confidence working with AI-enabled products and conceptual understanding of how modern AI systems use external content and data • Experience translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear product goals and phased delivery plans • Knowledge of best practices and business issues to improve processes • Ability to solve complex problems using existing solutions from new perspectives • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance • Versatility and action orientation with willingness to engage in change • Ability to assess and implement new processes and workflows • Excellent diplomacy and communication skills with a proven cross-team and cross-department track record • Excellent teamwork skills • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority • Ability to lead project work with members across business functions • Ability to present to groups of experts, including clients and customers • Resume/CV submission required
