📋 Description

• Account Reconciliation • Conduct weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reconciliations of all financial accounts to ensure alignment with bank statements. • BAS Preparation and Lodgement • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in compliance with ATO regulations. • Accurately calculate and report GST, PAYG withholding, and any other tax obligations. • Ensure timely lodgement and payment to avoid penalties and maintain compliance. • GST Management • Monitor and review GST transactions to ensure compliance with ATO guidelines. • Financial Reporting and Ad-hoc Financial Tasks • Generate and analyse financial reports including: Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements. • Respond to ad-hoc financial data requests from management or external auditors. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting as required. • Record Keeping and Documentation • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and secure financial records including receipts, invoices, and transaction logs. • Ensure all record-keeping practices align with Australian accounting standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Must have demonstrated experience of 2-3 years in AU General Accounting. • Proficiency in accounting software. (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) • Good understanding of Australian Tax Principles– including GST and FBT • Proven experience in Generating reports + preparing analytical reports. • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Can start ASAP.
