• Prepare and lodge SMSF tax returns in compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations. • Manage end-to-end SMSF accounting processes including financial statements, audit preparation, and compliance reporting. • Provide expert guidance on superannuation legislation, tax strategies, and regulatory updates. • Liaise with auditors, trustees, and clients to ensure smooth completion of SMSF obligations. • Review and reconcile investment portfolios, contributions, pensions, and member balances. • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in SMSF reporting. • Mentor junior accountants and provide technical support on SMSF-related matters. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian tax law, superannuation reforms, and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • CPA/CA qualification (preferred). • 10+ years of experience in accounting within the Australian industry, with a strong focus on SMSF tax returns. • Proven track record in preparing and lodging SMSF tax returns with accuracy and timeliness. • Strong understanding of ATO requirements, SIS Act, and superannuation regulations. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., BGL, Class Super, Xero, MYOB).
