📋 Description
• Drive year-over-year savings while ensuring quality and service level requirements are met. • Frequently interact with senior members of the client’s organization. • Create a positive work environment and foster collaboration. • Develop medium to long-term category strategies for Logistics. • Develop and execute sourcing strategies through the client’s strategic sourcing process. • Lead commercial negotiations and drafting contracts. • Manage overall supplier relationships. • Manage the team’s objective setting, performance and career growth.
🎯 Requirements
• Hands-on knowledge of Logistics sub-categories (including ocean freight, road freight, warehousing, 3PL services) • Awareness of Logistics industry, key suppliers, major trends, cost drivers and negotiation levers • Deep understanding of strategic sourcing methods and approaches • Ability to determine the appropriate procurement strategy for assigned categories and business requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills • Excellent problem-solving skills • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint • Ability to leverage analytical tools such as Power BI, AI, Python etc. • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred • 10-12 years of work experience in strategic sourcing and category management • 6+ years of experience with Logistics and related sub-categories
