📋 Description

• Provide technical expertise and leadership for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering, including preparing or reviewing technical deliverables, specifications, and related documentation. • Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality management systems. • Coordinate and lead work across distributed teams and shared-load offices. • Monitor team performance and forecast resource needs. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal safety codes, standards, and regulations. • Support procurement activities, supplier selection, and technical evaluation of bids. • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout the project life cycle. • Stay current with industry standards and tools, and implement improvements. • Promote a strong safety culture. • As part of this role, the incumbent will interact with both French- and English-speaking stakeholders across Canada.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Bilingual in French and English. • Member of, or eligible for membership in, the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ); registration in other provinces is an asset. • 10–15 years of relevant experience in the design, analysis, specification, and procurement of equipment and piping for pulp & paper mills or industrial process plants. • Strong knowledge of industry practices and mechanical and piping codes and standards. • Experience preparing material requisitions, evaluating technical bids, and providing technical management of equipment suppliers, including review and validation of vendor documentation. • Process plant engineering experience, including: • Design software (2D and 3D). • Pipe stress analysis. • Static equipment design (e.g., tanks and pressure vessels) and familiarity with rotating equipment. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • Commitment to client satisfaction and team success.
