• Provide on-site coordination for all phases of heavy/highway bridge construction projects. • Coordinate subcontractors, material and equipment. • Ensure that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. • Responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety. • Provide leadership and establish working relationships with all onsite personnel. • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion. • Create work plans and 2-week schedule look-ahead. • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. • Coordinate with Procurement and Dispatch staff for tools and materials to be delivered at specified times. • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work. • Coordinate required permits and inspections with local jurisdictions when necessary. • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution. • Maintain daily field log of activities on the jobsite. • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team. • Walk all activities on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning. • Preside over on-site meetings designed to coordinate the work. • Ensure that the job site is always kept clean and organized. • Take the lead regarding Safety and Quality Control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans and specifications. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. • To perform this job successfully, the individual will be expected to use Word Processing software (Microsoft Office); Estimating and Operations software (B2W); Adobe Acrobat (PDF) software on both an iPad and laptop computer. • Ability to manage 2 to 5 subordinate Foreman. • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. • A successful candidate may be required to directly supervise 1 to 5 non-supervisory employees. • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
