📋 Description

• Provide single-session telephone and video counseling, in-the-moment support, and telephone-based crisis management with a supportive, ethical, and professional approach while maintaining client confidentiality • Conduct thorough assessments to ensure clients can benefit from short-term counseling • Assess and manage high-risk calls and work closely with at-risk individuals • Appropriately refer clients to external resources or internal WPO services as part of our holistic approach • Collaboratively develop clear, concise treatment plans for clients • Maintain clear, task-focused clinical documentation in the records management system • Perform any other duties relevant to the role as deemed appropriate by management

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology • Fluent spoken and written French and English • Experience using short-term counseling modalities such as solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, integrative, and systemic counseling • Training in crisis intervention and supporting high-risk clients is desirable • Ability to work with clients presenting substance use issues, crisis situations, mental health symptoms, and/or family or relationship concerns that impact personal or professional functioning • Passionate about providing client support from anywhere in the world • Culturally sensitive to our clients and flexible in using a telephone interpreter when necessary • Proficient in our various contact methods — phone, video, email, text/SMS, and live chat
