• Workstream is a mission-driven company that believes in building premium, modern software solutions for hourly businesses. • You will lead a team to build production-quality text/voice-based chatbots for the largest brands in the world. • You will be the founding AI/algorithm engineer for the company. • You will also get opportunities to prove your leadership skills and to build your team when we grow. • You will be responsible for building and improving our AI to drive business outcomes. • Work with the Product Manager to understand customers’ pain points and create user stories for the chatbot. • Quickly build prototypes/demos to get feedback from customers. • Work with software engineers etc to turn chatbot into a software product. • Iteratively improve model/generation/retrieval/conversation quality by creating metrics, building data flywheel and creating benchmarks, training models, monitoring performances, etc. • Be the go-to person and bar-raiser for the domain of algorithm/AI/ML engineering.
🎯 Requirements
• Strong problem solver • Expertise in • AI engineering, like LLM, closed-domain QA/dialogue system, RAG, Information retrieval, knowledge base, and other speech/text/NLP-related fields • prototyping AI applications with hands-on muscles (0-1) • systematically tweaking a production system to perform better to business goals (1-100) • (preferred) In addition to expertise, have a proven track for the above expertise • Strong communication and project management skills, able to lead and collaborate with cross-functional roles in English and Chinese • Like the startup culture: scrappily resourceful and have strong ownership • Ideally based in Shanghai or Chengdu, CN
