📋 Description
• Ensure underwriting practices are consistent, compliant, and aligned with agency guidelines • Lead, coach, and develop a team of underwriters • Oversee the underwriting process for new transactions and resubmissions • Monitor performance metrics and underwriting results • Develop and implement training programs for underwriting policies • Handle escalated issues and provide solutions
🎯 Requirements
• 10+ years of recent underwriting experience • At least 2 years in a leadership or management role • Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements • Must have recent conventional and FHA underwriting experience; additional VA experience preferred • Proven ability to manage teams, develop talent, and drive performance • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
