• Maintain QMS records, audit schedules, and safety policies in line with BRCGS, HACCP, and UK/EU food regulations • Act as the primary technical contact for co-manufacturers and ingredient suppliers • Own supplier onboarding, audits, certifications, and technical approvals • Own finished product and packaging specifications • Review artwork for labelling accuracy • Manage retailer technical portals • Own allergen risk assessments across product lines • Validate co-packer line-clearance protocols, clean-downs, and matrix management to eliminate cross-contamination risks • Lead mock recall exercises and own the operational response plan for product incidents • Ensure full supply-chain traceability • Oversee microbiological, chemical, and sensory laboratory testing • Oversee shelf-life studies, nutritional verification, and Certificates of Analysis • Lead root-cause investigations into non-conformances and consumer complaints • Implement corrective action plans • Support NPD and market-expansion compliance • Use digital tools and AI to streamline quality workflows and tracking • Work with Customer Experience on product feedback, Legal and Regulatory on compliance, and Commercial and Marketing on product launches • Serve as the technical point of contact for manufacturing partners, co-packers, independent testing laboratories, and supermarket retail technical teams • Report directly to the Food Supply Operations Manager
• 2–5 years of experience in food, beverage, dietary supplements, or fast-moving consumer health • Working knowledge of HACCP principles and compliance frameworks including BRCGS, SALSA, GFSI, and ISO • Experience reviewing laboratory data, including Certificates of Analysis, microbiological testing, and shelf-life studies • Experience writing product specifications • Understanding of UK/EU allergen labelling laws • Practical experience auditing allergen controls and cleaning validation at third-party manufacturing facilities • Hands-on experience conducting traceability audits and executing mock or live product recalls • Ability to analyse complaint trends and solve quality issues in a fast-paced scale-up • Permanent right to work in the UK or EU • Ability and willingness to travel to manufacturing partners and supplier sites, primarily in the UK/EU, approximately once or twice every few months • Degree or formal apprenticeship in Food Science, Food Technology, or quality auditing is listed as a nice-to-have, not required • Experience supporting physical product launches outside the UK, particularly in the EU or North America, is a nice-to-have • Experience navigating major retailer technical portals and due-diligence questionnaires is a nice-to-have • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI tools and digital automation is a nice-to-have
