📋 Description

• Build zoe.com as a fast, accessible, beautiful and consistently on-brand website • Develop seamless, performant and responsive user interfaces • Translate high-fidelity designs into fluid, accessible and performant components with UX designers • Contribute to and grow the shared component library and web design system • Launch A/B tests and work with analysts to interpret results and improve the user journey • Collaborate on API design and implement backend changes needed for front-end features • Write clean, testable and maintainable code and ship regularly to production • Work primarily with TypeScript, React and Next.js • Work in backend services using Kotlin or Python to provide well-structured, efficiently delivered data • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product managers, product designers and other cross-functional teams • Learn from senior engineers, share knowledge and grow into technical ownership of parts of the web platform

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on front-end • Strong experience with TypeScript, React and Next.js • Understanding of state management, hooks and web performance optimisation • Working knowledge of a backend language such as Python, Kotlin or Java • Comfortable navigating an API or database schema • Pragmatic approach focused on simple, maintainable solutions • Collaborative, cross-functional working style • Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library (nice to have) • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation tools such as Optimizely (nice to have) • Good understanding of accessibility and WCAG (nice to have) • Experience with GraphQL (nice to have) • Production experience with Kotlin or Python (nice to have) • Must have the right to work in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Poland or Germany • ZOE is unable to offer visa sponsorship
