Who writes this site
I'm Lior Neu-ner, the founder of Remote Rocketship. I'm a software engineer, and I spent five years at Meta before leaving to build my own products. I started Remote Rocketship in January 2023 after watching my wife struggle through a miserable remote job search.
I write and edit the job search advice on this site, and if you email support there's a good chance I'm the one replying. I've documented the business publicly since launch: revenue numbers, failed pricing experiments and technical write-ups such as how I debugged our Interaction to Next Paint score.
Where the job data comes from
Remote Rocketship doesn't wait for employers to pay us to post jobs. Our software continuously scans the career pages and applicant tracking systems of more than 100,000 companies and indexes the remote roles it finds — including many that never reach LinkedIn. Jobs are re-checked at least twice a day, and listings that have closed are removed rather than left to go stale.
That means the salary ranges, job counts and hiring statistics quoted throughout our advice articles come from our own live index, not from third-party estimates.
How the advice is written
Our interview and job search guides are written and reviewed by me, drawing on both sides of the hiring table: years of being interviewed as an engineer, interviewing candidates at Meta, and the hiring patterns we observe across the jobs we index every week. Where an article cites a number — pay, demand, time-to-fill — it comes from that data set and is refreshed when the data moves.
Articles carry a published date and, where they have been meaningfully rewritten, an updated date. We don't bump dates without changing the substance.
