Descrição

• Build backend platform capabilities used by four product teams • Expand DevDawg cloud development environments for the full application stack • Expand Spice automated code review and root-cause tooling, including safely approving more pull requests • Build paved roads for the API layer, including REST blueprints, GraphQL schema, OpenAPI, realtime, authentication, and permissions • Modernize backend and asynchronous compute frameworks, including Flask-to-FastAPI migration paths • Establish production observability, metrics, alerting, and readiness standards • Build shared backend services and primitives for eventing, event logs, database-change safety, migrations, delegated access, auditability, internal administration, and support APIs • Set guardrails for coding agents through static analysis, linting, hooks, and test harnesses • Partner with Infrastructure, which owns AWS, Kubernetes, and datastores, while owning the application layer • Collaborate directly with internal engineering users and potentially move between teams as work shifts

🎯 Requisitos

• Role open at Senior and Staff levels • Seasoned Python engineer; Python is the primary backend language • Go, Rust, or TypeScript experience is welcome • Shipped meaningful LLM-backed or agentic work to real users • Uses coding agents in day-to-day workflow and has a clear point of view on their strengths and limitations • Fluent in observability and production practice, including telemetry, metrics, tracing, alerting, and Sentry ownership • Experience designing and shipping internet-facing APIs • Production incident debugging and ownership of systems with customer impact • Experience carrying a pager for production systems • Builder-first approach focused on rapid adoption • Ability to work directly with internal engineering customers • Must be legally able to work in the US; visa requirements must be explained
