• Provide technical advice, guidance, and support on program design and implementation, focusing on larger Emergency Nutrition projects • Contribute to agency-wide Emergency Nutrition strategies, standards, tools, and best practices • Help integrate gender, protection mainstreaming, and disaster risk reduction through cross-sectoral approaches • Provide remote and on-site technical solutions to regional and Country Program teams • Support strategic planning and application of program design, implementation, partnership, monitoring, and evaluation standards • Pre-position CRS for Emergency Nutrition growth opportunities • Lead or contribute to technical designs for large and/or complex proposals • Define appropriate monitoring systems and indicators • Advise project teams on integrating donor strategies, priorities, and technical requirements • Strengthen staff and partner capacity by developing learning and training strategies, agendas, and curricula • Conduct trainings and workshops and mentor and coach Country Program staff • Support knowledge management and learning through program data collection and analysis • Evaluate strategic projects, assist with measuring program impact, and capture and share lessons learned and best practices • Contribute to research and internal reports • Establish and maintain relationships with donors, peer organizations, research institutions, and other institutions • Participate in Emergency Nutrition forums to collect and share best practices and promote CRS’ work • No supervisory responsibilities
• Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition, public health or health-related field required • Minimum of eight years relevant international working experience in an advisory or management role with progressive responsibilities • Minimum of three years working on nutrition program development and implementation interventions in humanitarian, post-conflict, or low-resource settings • Previous experience providing technical assistance and developing successful proposals for external donor funding required • Demonstrated application of technical principles and concepts in Emergency Nutrition • General knowledge of related disciplines for a cross-sectoral approach • Proficiency in MS Office packages: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Proficiency in web conferencing applications, information and budget management systems, and knowledge-sharing networks • Experience in business development, project design, proposal development, and technical writing in Emergency Nutrition • Experience in mentoring, coaching, facilitation, and training using adult learning principles • Experience with program monitoring and evaluation, data collection tools and methodologies, data analysis, and data presentation • Experience networking and managing relationships with donors, peer organizations, research institutions, and faith-based civil society partners • Understanding of partnership principles • Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills • Strong written and oral communication skills • Strong presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills • Fluency in English required • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% • Ability to legally work where the position is performed • Pre-employment medical clearance required for positions requiring residence or frequent travel outside a home country • Master’s Degree in nutrition or a field related to clinical or public health is preferred/an advantage
