• Manage an assigned portfolio of foundation, family foundation, and corporate funders, including relationship planning, cultivation, stewardship, renewal, and follow-up • Build and sustain funder relationships through communications, meetings, updates, and clear next steps • Identify portfolio opportunities and risks and raise them with the Director of Institutional Giving • Represent Echoing Green in selected funder meetings and external events • Draft and manage grant proposals and reports, including narrative and financial components • Translate program information, data, and learning into accurate funder-facing narratives • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and background research for funder meetings • Draft stewardship communications, donor updates, impact highlights, and acknowledgment content • Ensure donor recognition and funder-facing communications accurately represent Fellows, partners, and communities • Maintain systems tracking proposals, reports, deadlines, responsibilities, and status; flag at-risk work • Maintain Institutional Giving records in Salesforce and resolve missing or inconsistent information • Develop and maintain the annual Institutional Giving communications calendar • Promote consistent use of templates, systems, and processes and identify improvements • Coordinate with Programs, Finance, Communications, and other teams on proposals, reports, stewardship, and funder engagement • Serve as Development lead for selected organizational events, employee engagement activities, and institutional-funder special projects • Research prospective institutional funders for giving capacity and mission alignment • Contribute portfolio data and research to analysis of renewals, pipeline health, risks, and growth opportunities • Raise questions about funding terms, reporting requirements, relationship dynamics, and organizational tradeoffs • Report to the Director of Institutional Giving
• Experience managing or substantially contributing to institutional grants, funder relationships, proposals, reports, renewals, or closely related work • Experience may come from fundraising, grantmaking, partnerships, program or grant management, or another setting involving external relationships and complex written deliverables • Ability to build trust with external partners and navigate competing interests while maintaining organizational priorities • Clear writing for different audiences and ability to translate complex information without oversimplifying it • Ability to proactively engage relevant colleagues, share context, and coordinate work • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and relationships, prioritize, adapt plans, and communicate changes early • Strong attention to accuracy and ability to identify and address inconsistencies • Equity-minded approach considering power, access, identity, and representation • Ability to handle confidential information with care, recognize when additional input is needed, and surface risks • Comfort using a CRM, project management tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software • Salesforce, Asana, Excel, and PowerPoint experience is helpful; comparable tools are relevant • Interest in Echoing Green's mission • Available to work full-time on Eastern Time (New York business hours) • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
