Descrição

• Own the full people management lifecycle for direct reports, including 1:1s, performance reviews, career development, hiring, terminations, and compensation decisions • Manage multiple engineering teams, owning people and delivery outcomes across scope • Ensure teams meet KPIs and have the right staffing to deliver commitments • Develop Tech Leads in design ownership, technical mentorship, and delivery accountability • Own project management for feature development by defining scope, scheduling delivery, identifying dependencies, managing timelines, and moving resources as necessary • Coordinate with Product Managers on deadlines and priorities, surface risks early, and resolve scheduling conflicts • Hold Tech Leads accountable to delivery commitments and design completion; review estimates, designs, plans, and scope for execution and schedule risk • Ensure burn charts accurately reflect project health • Ensure deployment plans are defined ahead of every feature release • Identify technical and schedule risks and partner with Tech Leads on mitigation strategies • Partner with Product Management to define features and negotiate scope, time, and resource tradeoffs • Ensure execution follows process and standards through coaching, resourcing, or process intervention • Drive process improvement initiatives to improve team efficiency, delivery predictability, and engineering quality

🎯 Requisitos

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background as a hands-on technical contributor earlier in your career • 3+ years of experience in an engineering management role, with direct responsibility for project delivery and people management • Demonstrated experience managing and developing engineering talent, including performance reviews, hiring, and compensation decisions • Proven experience owning project management for software feature development, including full accountability for schedule, scope, process, and outcomes • Technical depth sufficient to evaluate risks in designs and plans, gut-check technical estimates, and credibly partner with Tech Leads • Strong track record of collaborating with Product Management to define features, align on priorities, and navigate tradeoffs • Ability to identify and manage technical and schedule risk proactively, developing mitigation strategies before issues escalate • Solid understanding of software delivery processes, standards, and deployment practices • Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, or equivalent industry experience
