Beschreibung

• Serve as an experienced individual contributor on a cross-functional team • Deliver reliable, maintainable software supporting meaningful government services • Take ownership of contributions throughout the software development lifecycle with minimal oversight • Shape technical approaches and improve engineering practices • Design, build, test, maintain, and improve full-stack applications and services • Coordinate integrations across adjacent technical systems and dependencies • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and drive system improvements from incidents and lessons learned • Evaluate technical and process approaches and support practical engineering decisions • Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions • Present design documents, system diagrams, and technical recommendations to engineers, clients, stakeholders, and partners • Communicate technical concepts, risks, tradeoffs, and developments to technical and non-technical audiences • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers • Lead small projects, technical initiatives, or temporary team structures when needed • Improve software engineering processes, development practices, system reliability, and team effectiveness • Participate in technical interviews and evaluate prospective engineering candidates • Integrate AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality, security, maintainability, and architectural fit • Stay current with software engineering and AI-assisted development practices

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience • Strong experience developing and maintaining production software across both frontend and backend technologies • Expert-level knowledge in at least one technical area, such as frontend, backend, application architecture, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps • Experience designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining modern web applications and services • Experience working with APIs, databases, distributed systems, and integrations between applications or services • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical problems and drive them through resolution • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers • Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and contribute to architecture and engineering decisions
