Beschreibung

• Lead activities of a software development team for software enhancements and new product development • Establish individual team member goals and align them with broader team and company objectives • Coach team members and provide consistent feedback to drive performance, accountability, growth, and development • Create an environment of belonging, respect, and open communication • Oversee specification, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operation of production software systems • Interact with software program managers and internal customers to define application requirements and modifications • Manage and prioritize a software developer team’s efforts • Develop technical understanding of production systems and plan continuous improvement through technical-debt elimination • Participate in software release activities • Provide production support and address production issues • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s in computer science, Bioinformatics, or equivalent is required, with 12+ years of related software engineering and leadership experience • Alternatively, a Master’s in computer science with 8+ years of related experience • Experience creating and maintaining complex software using modern methodologies in Linux and Windows environments • Extensive experience with Python or Groovy; Java or C#; and relational databases such as Oracle or Postgres • Strong familiarity with source control, unit testing, in-code documentation, and automated build environments • Superior communication skills for cross-discipline work with non-computer scientists, including lab technicians, biologists, geneticists, and statisticians • Ability to work well in a team; openness to pair-programming and/or code reviews • Experience handling production issues, interacting with primary users, and providing production support • Ability to understand, debug, maintain, and/or refactor legacy code • Experience with Java Servlets, JSPs, HTML, and JavaScript • Knowledge of object-oriented JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS • Experience with build tools such as Ant or Gradle • Experience with web UI frameworks, web services, and RESTful APIs • Adaptive is not currently sponsoring candidates requiring work authorization support for this position
