Beschreibung

• Oversee programmatic efforts within an assigned geographic area • Implement AFSP-approved prevention, education, loss and healing, and research connection programs in person and virtually • Increase program delivery and program impact according to organizational goals • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers throughout the chapter territory • Strengthen the volunteer base and maximize program impact • Track programs delivered and individuals reached in Program Tracker • Expand outreach to diverse communities disproportionately impacted by suicide • Communicate AFSP’s impact to community leaders, constituents, and organizations • Respond to program inquiries and requests for presentations and trainings • Provide resources to survivors and individuals with lived experience • Provide programmatic content for sponsorship and grant applications • Support chapter advocacy efforts • Develop budgets for programmatic activities • Coordinate with vendors, municipalities, and venues for presentations and trainings • Staff the chapter programs and education committee under supervisor direction • Communicate AFSP National program initiatives and strategic direction to volunteers • Travel regularly within the assigned service area and attend the annual Chapter Staff Meeting • Report to an Executive Director or Area Director and work with National Teams • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s Degree • Minimum 2 years experience in community outreach, program coordination, volunteer coordination, and non-profit work • 1-2 years experience recruiting and training volunteers • Experience working directly with diverse populations and community partners • Technology literacy and ability to utilize and learn multiple platforms to work remotely and present virtually • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Virtuous preferred • Ability to travel within the assigned service territory and across the relevant state(s) • Must possess a driver’s license and/or ability to drive across the assigned state(s) • Must be able to rent a vehicle on behalf of AFSP as needed • Ability to work evening and weekend hours when necessary • Ability to work a full-time schedule and maintain regular attendance • Strong public speaking skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines • Ability to work with people who are grieving or in crisis • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
