Beschreibung

• Design and implement robust, highly reliable software for safety-critical systems using traditional functional safety and emerging deep learning safety techniques • Partner with machine learning, hardware, and core software teams to ensure data pipelines, models, and middleware operate within defined safety envelopes • Develop and optimize software running on Linux and real-time operating systems • Create rigorous testing frameworks and validation strategies to prove system reliability and safety under edge-case scenarios • Guide and mentor junior engineers on safety-critical coding standards and best practices • Implement a functionally safe perception system bridging advanced technology and functional safety principles • Design, develop, and validate safety-critical software architecture

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, focused on systems-level or embedded systems programming • Proficiency in C++, C, or Rust • Strong understanding of software architecture for embedded systems • Experience with Linux and real-time operating systems • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong internal drive for quality and reliability • Current authorization to work in the United States • Preferred: experience with alpha hardware and board bringup • Preferred: experience with camera and LiDAR sensors • Preferred: formally certified safety-critical code • Preferred: familiarity with ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or ISO 13849 • Preferred: experience architecting and building robotic applications using ROS 2 • Preferred: machine learning pipeline experience, including data collection, dataset curation, and model training • Preferred: Linux kernel configuration, module development, or customization • Preferred: QNX or similar RTOS experience and CI/CD integration
