Beschreibung

• Deliver scalable, available, and fault-tolerant production applications in Java and Kotlin • Prevent, investigate, triage, and resolve production issues and on-call incidents • Design system architecture, influence the product roadmap, and own new projects • Lead architecture discussions, code reviews, design reviews, sprint planning, and project planning • Participate in the full application lifecycle, including coding and debugging • Build data pipelines transforming incoming data into Kafka streams and Key Life Indicators • Identify system bottlenecks and optimize performance, including Kafka tuning • Integrate with MANTL APIs for data collection • Lead developers and collaborate with designers and product owners on new features • Build and extend Vue.js frontend features as needed • Manage technologies used to improve legacy applications • Gather and address technical and design requirements • Configure environments, monitor system health, and support Prometheus and Grafana observability • Provide training and support to internal teams • Mentor team members, delegate assignments, and contribute as Technical Team Lead • Introduce and enhance automation and service operability tools • Interface with customers and business stakeholders to deliver software products • Establish engineering organization standards • Drive AI-assisted engineering strategies, developer workflow optimization, modernization initiatives, and prompt/context engineering standards

🎯 Anforderungen

• Minimum 12 years of related software development experience; or 8 years and an advanced degree • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related field, or equivalent work experience • Exceptional programming skills in Java or Kotlin • Backend-leaning full-stack development experience • Strong experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs • Strong proficiency with Kafka basics, streaming, and performance tuning • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle • Advanced experience with AWS and Kubernetes for cloud-native infrastructure • Experience with microservices architecture and API-first development • Advanced experience in OpenTelemetry • Intermediate SQL/database querying skills • Experience planning and leading complex technical projects across multiple teams • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation one week per month • Ability to work full-time in the US; employer cannot provide sponsorship • Ability to lift 5–10 pounds unassisted and perform required physical motions • Preferred: Maven experience, Vue.js experience, AWS deployment experience, and master’s degree
