Beschreibung

• Develop and validate Conventional Island layouts • Ensure layouts meet technical and programme requirements • Progress design packages through the gated Design Review process • Engage stakeholders to capture requirements, assumptions, and constraints • Understand and manage risks associated with Conventional Island installations • Make decisions aligned with programme risk • Work in accordance with health, safety, and environmental requirements • Collaborate with installation, layout, and CAD engineers to develop module clusters • Ensure quality throughout the SMR lifecycle by contributing to technical reviews and project review gates • Support configuration and data management • Apply risk management, data-driven manufacturing, installation process improvement, and construction planning knowledge to optimise design outcomes

🎯 Anforderungen

• Experience Level: 4-8 YOE • Experience in Plant Layout, Piping Layout or general Layout background in complex projects • Proven experience delivering installation design programmes to time, cost, and quality • Experience leading design solutions from concept to detailed definition using Robust Design methodologies, including DfX and trade-off studies • Strong logical problem-solving skills and engineering judgement • Systems Engineering understanding • Requirements management • Stakeholder management • Technical and programme risk management • Design for through-life operation, nuclear safety, fault scenarios, and EMIT • Knowledge of Gated Design Review processes • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience • Desirable: experience in nuclear, power generation, or other safety-critical industries • Desirable: knowledge of ONR safety principles, INPO guidance, or similar regulatory frameworks • Anyone site Clearance: BPSS • Role may require security clearance or willingness to undergo it • Must complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard as part of onboarding
