Beschreibung

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects • Responsible of design and analysis of safety and non-safety related structures for nuclear and commercial projects • Interfaces with the other technical disciplines (mechanical, nuclear, operations and electrical engineering teams) for structural design and layouts • Applies knowledge and experience, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes and standards, and good engineering judgment to ensure the design is compliant with International regulatory criteria and industry best practices • Performs a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to document compliance with project and code requirements • Generates, and is conversant with layout plans, foundation details, steelwork details and architectural feature design • Assists in the preparation and approval of design documents and plant modifications • Ensures relevant design criteria, specifications, practices, procedures and codes and site design and safety and licensing basis are used in preparation of design media • Performs checking to ensure accuracy of design media in accordance with company policies and procedures and client expectations • Works to assigned schedules ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work and initiates corrective measures to overcome delays • Supports installation and testing of site systems and components

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's Degree required in Electrical Engineering or related technical or engineering field • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience • Experience in nuclear industry preferred • Strong communication skills • Basic knowledge of FEA and other civil design software and Microsoft office • In-depth knowledge of strength of materials and structural mechanics • Able to complete complex technical work with limited supervision • Familiarity with industry standards and design codes such as ASME, ACI, ASCE and AISC • Experience in conducting seismic and impact-based dynamic analyses • Knowledge of geotechnical and geophysical engineering • Experience in modular design development of SSCs • Experience working with designers and manufacturers to develop models and drawings; knowledge of software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Tekla and Revit • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.
