Beschreibung

• Develop and operate Kubernetes-native systems using GitOps workflows • Build and operate infrastructure-as-code, automation, observability tools, and services • Collaborate with internal application teams to improve platform usability and feedback • Help design and run systems that scale across data centers, edge devices, and cloud environments • Work on backend services, APIs, and developer-facing tooling for infrastructure and platform services • Occasionally travel to BNSF's corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, for in-person meetings

🎯 Anforderungen

• Authorized to work in the United States • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience • Experience with IaaS, PaaS, Open NOS, service mesh, block/object storage, containers, Linux, SQL, or NoSQL databases • Proficiency in modern infrastructure programming languages, such as Go, Python, and Java • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices • Interest in open-source infrastructure and developer platforms • Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry • Experience with secure coding practices and infrastructure security principles • Familiarity with secrets management and identity and access control • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders • Experience participating in design reviews, incident retrospectives, or RFC processes • Demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts and adapt to new technologies quickly • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field (preferred) • Engineering experience with a public IaaS company such as AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP, or CoreWeave (preferred) • Experience running production infrastructure platforms such as OpenStack, Ceph, Kubernetes, DBaaS, service mesh, and API gateways (preferred) • Experience with edge systems and hybrid environments (preferred) • Familiarity with developer tooling as a builder and/or user (preferred) • Interest in sustainable infrastructure and cost/resource awareness (preferred) • Familiarity with React, Angular, Node.js, or Spring Boot (preferred) • Familiarity with container-based development (preferred) • Able to work now and in the future without BNSF assistance in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization (preferred)
