• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process • Prepare account reconciliations and ensure financial records remain accurate and complete • Assist with general ledger accounting and journal entries • Help maintain strong internal controls and accounting best practices • Own payroll processing and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related questions • Support tax filings and payroll compliance activities • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members • Review reconciliations and day-to-day accounting activity • Help troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth financial operations across the team • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency • Recommend and implement process improvements • Partner with leadership to help build scalable accounting practices

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience • Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations • Experience processing payroll • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience working in a nonprofit organization (nice to have) • Experience using Sage Intacct (nice to have) • Experience with investment reconciliations (nice to have) • Experience with Rippling or similar payroll platforms (nice to have) • Familiarity with Salesforce, Shopify, Avalara, or PayPal (nice to have)
